Who are we?
This is a multi-stakeholder Yukon cancer-risk screening initiative for wildland firefighters led by Yukon First Nations, firefighters, researchers, engineers, and community partners — aligned with Canada’s National Framework on Cancers Linked to Firefighting Bill C-224.
Canadian Wildland Cancer Society
The volunteer advocates of the Canadian Wildland Cancer Society initiating this pilot, include two distinguished Canadian researchers, 2 Firefighter Chiefs, a wireless product Innovator, details below.
We have been advocating for a Canadian nation-wide early cancer screening program starting in 2024, looking at piloting new cancer screening technologies like Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) liquid biopsies
